Safe + Sound Locks

Nearly half (49%) of children with autism experience elopement, or wandering from a safe environment, a rate nearly four times higher than their neurotypical siblings, according to a study published in Pediatrics. This dangerous behavior has led to numerous tragic incidents, often involving children being found in nearby bodies of water. These heartbreaking scenarios often occur while parents are sleeping, tending to another child, or momentarily unable to monitor their child closely.

At the Ausomely Different Foundation, we are committed to addressing this critical safety issue by equipping families with the tools they need to protect their children.

Our Safety Locks Program provides secure, reliable locks to help prevent elopement, creating a safer home environment for children with autism. By offering this vital resource, we aim to support families in their ongoing efforts to keep their children safe and reduce the risk of these preventable tragedies.
